The Octopus OCTAF1212LAM12 hydraulic linear drive is a self-contained autopilot actuator designed for mechanically steered vessels up to 60 feet in length or 33,000 pounds displacement. The mounted hydraulic design combines a reversing pump and 38mm hydraulic cylinder into one assembly, eliminating the need for additional hydraulic plumbing. || Featuring a 305mm (12-inch) stroke, variable flow rate from 600cc to 1.2 liters per minute, and peak thrust of 400kg (882 pounds), the actuator delivers the force required for offshore cruising boats, sailboats, and larger power vessels. The integrated solenoid valve locks the cylinder during autopilot operation and disengages automatically when manual steering resumes. || With only five moving parts, a translucent oil reservoir, and 12VDC operation drawing 4 to 6 amps on average, the OCTAF1212LAM12 is designed for straightforward service and dependable marine steering performance. Its compact mounted configuration simplifies installation while supporting rudder torque up to 1,200Nm.
