Description
The Balmar MCTSA Alternator Temperature Sensor continuously monitors alternator operating temperatures and provides feedback to compatible Balmar charging regulators. Equipped with an extra-long 54-foot cable, the sensor is designed for installations where alternators and regulators are separated by significant distances. || When paired with MC-612 and MC-618 regulators, the sensor allows charging output to be reduced if alternator temperatures approach unsafe levels. This automatic protection feature helps prevent overheating and supports longer alternator service life in demanding marine charging applications. || The sensor mounts directly to the alternator housing and integrates seamlessly into Balmar charging systems. Its extended cable routing flexibility makes it particularly useful in sailboats, trawlers, and larger vessels where engine rooms are located far from electrical control panels.
